A blanket of sorrows

And a pillow of dreams

The water is rising

And I'm sinking

It seems

As if the world has stopped

From moving down the drain

And as if there was anything I could say

To help my friend

And save his life again

And I was sitting in the forest

Thinking of all the things I could know

Looking at the water flow

Riding on the wings of my mind

Thinking of the mountains of time

To the beaches of nothing

To the beaches of nothing

You shouldn't

Kill the songbird

she'll only do you good

The red flower in my garden

Is protecting my wounds

You shouldnt say

Everythings gone away

You shouldnt laugh at me

You shouldnt close the window

When only light it brings

And a bird that sings

To your heart

To your heart

The desert is dead

And the sea is red

And the mountains will crumble to your feet

As you step

Into the heat

Listening to the wind

Makes me think of me again

Listening to the past

Makes me think

How it passes fast

Quickly

Without meaning

Without leaving.
